About Us

We are a non-profit organization providing preschool experience for children 2 years old through Pre Kindergarten. In Eugene, we pioneered the progressive three-year program, which begins with the two-year-old and ends with the Kindergarten ready child.  Our school has been in existence for over fifty years, serving Eugene families first as the Central Presbyterian Church Weekly Nursery School and since 1975 as The Big Little School.  The Big Little School is proud to have moved to our new classrooms within the Emmaus Lutheran Church during the summer of 2002.  Although classroom participation is not required, interested parents are encouraged to share skills and assist with school events.  The staff publishes a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed of class activities. Through communication between home and the school, we strive to satisfy the individual needs of each child in a warm, supportive classroom environment.
