Each class is staffed with two experienced teachers who plan the activities for their respective groups. The program includes free play, which enables your child to establish friendships and develop social skills while allowing the teachers the time to work with the students on individual and small group levels. This time also affords the child the opportunity to explore a variety of interest centers: block building, house keeping area, library center, tabletop and floor activities. During the day there are designated times for music, arts and crafts, stories, parent- provided snacks and outdoor or gym play.
Classes are offered for children two years of age through Pre Kindergarten. The Big Little School strictly follows the District 4J Schools birth date policy for enrollment, using the child’s age on September 1st to determine class placement.
